CD 47 with, as usual, nothing new to report...no ovulation, no +OPKs...nope the maximum dosage of the Metformin is not working...just waiting till my next appt at the end of Sept.
Hi I am new to this whole blogging thing. I have been reading your blogs and I feel like we have a few things in common. Is Metaformin similar to Clomid? I have been on Clomid for one month, currently on my second month, and my cycles are still irregular. I understand your frustrations and I am sorry you are going through this. I am assuming you and your husband have both been checked out. We have and they have no idea what the issue is. I keep hearing "just give it time". It is really hard when you want something so bad, to give it time. Good luck and baby dust your way.
I don't even remember how I found your blog, but here I am! I'm sorry you are having such a struggle with your cycle - I can relate although I am only in the beginning of my TTC journey.
I got off the pill back in April and didn't see anything even remotely resembling a period for 90 days so I went to my OBGYN who perscribed Provera. I was on 10 mg for 10 days and actually got AF on my 3rd or 4th pill. Is that even supposed to happen?? Thinking that was a good sign, I've been using OPKs, but no sign of a + yet. I know that it's still early, but I can't help but feel that my journey is going to be a long one. From reading your blog, it sounds like my doc is a little faster at jumping into trying new things than yours though. I'm sorry you are playing the waiting game so much!!! My doc said that we could go straight to Chlomid if my cycle doesn't come back on it's own after a few rounds of Provera.
Anyway, I've been reading back through your blog and have learned so much already. Thanks for being so open about TTC - know that you're helping other people out here!!! I'll be praying for you and sending you tons of O-vibes!
Hi girls! Thanks for sending lots of positive vibes my way! Sending them right back to you!
Missy- I was diagnosed with PCOS, and I don't ovulate at all. Metformin is used for girls with PCOS to try and regulate their cycles and help with ovulation, and now that we've worked our way up to the maximum dosage, and it still hasn't worked, we get to try Clomid next.
Kelly- You sound alot like I do with your cycles, which always have to be induced with Provera every 3 months, and that mixed with the Metformin still hasn't worked, so on to the next step!
Thank you girls for reading, and I hope you get your BFPs soon! *hugs*
amy- i love how many people that you don't even know are being encouraged by your open and hoesty as you process through your journey on here... and by the way, the smile song playing on here always makes me cry... may be the hormones, but i think mostly i just remember my own struggles and am praying this quickly comes to a wonderfully delightful outcome! i love you!
Aww Linds, I love you so much! It's nice to have other people on here too who are going thru or have gone thru the same thing. I think infertility has been such a touchy subject for so long, and it's time we speak out about it! We'll help eachother along the way!
Welcome! I'm Amy, a late 20 something Polish-Italian Catholic dealing with infertility. I married the love of my life on May 24th 2008 and we decided to start trying for children on June 24th 2008. It's been a hard road, but we have been finally blessed with a positive pregnancy test on June 19th 2010, almost exactly 2 years to the day we started trying. I don't always censor myself on this blog. Read what you like or none at all...but this is my story about my "Miracle in the Making".
