Back from my 36w6d u/s and OB appt. He is measuring in at 39 weeks already (and was sucking his thumb the entire time). He has CHUBBY CHUBBY cheeks! Since he's measuring so far ahead they estimate him to be anywhere from 7lbs6oz-7lbs11oz right now. So we have to have another u/s in 2 weeks to check his growth because of my pelvic structure to make sure I will be able to deliver him and try and avoid a c-section, we may have to set up an induction date which I would rather avoid, but I guess anything for a healthy baby. I do love my Dr though she said she won't ever (unless for emergency) take away my chance to at least try to deliver vaginally. She said it's still early and we will talk more about it next week and the week after that.

Truitt measured THREE weeks ahead (fundal height and on ultrasound) and ended up being 9lbs 12oz at 39wks 2days :)
Having a bigger baby does not always mean cesarean you may be able to use positions that help the pelvis open like squatting, all fours, standing and rocking. Lots of little mama's give birth to big babies and everything goes just fine. I would look into the risks/benefits of induction vs risk benefits of starting labour naturally and being able to move and "squat" as you please. With an induction labours are often more challenging and if something like an epidural is needed it is harder to get into positions that help a big baby (although still possible). I am only saying this based on my own experiences but please ask lots of questions before making a final decision, also know that ultrasounds can be off by 10-20%.
Oh momma if you keep going that is going to be one big meatball:) My little babe has chubby cheeks too...Cant wait to meet our little men!!!

Congrats Amy! He is so precious! I can't wait to see him! My doctor told me my baby was going to be REALLY big to and he came out at 7.1 oz. His growth slowed down alot in the last 3 weeks, which is normal. I'm so excited for you!!
